The Anza Society conducts an Annual International Conference.

The conferences include a full day of presentations by recognized historians, representatives of local organizations and other researchers. Presentations are inspired by the location of the meeting and include recent research about Juan Bautista de Anza, and his life and times in the Spanish Colonial Southwest.

The conferences have been held annually since 1995 in locations including Arizpe, Sonora, Mexico (home to the Anza family in America); San Francisco, CA; Yuma, AZ; Pueblo, CO; Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico; Santa Barbara, CA; Tucson, AZ; Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Mexico; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Tubac/Green Valley, AZ; Monterey, CA; Banamichi/Arizpe, Sonora, Mexico; and most recently in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico in 2016.
